Cardio exercises and weight training were Moon’s ways to keep up a stunningly fit shape. According to her in an interview, “To get into shape, I concentrated on weight training. For about an hour a session, I’d work out on machines and with free-weights. My trainer had me lifting heavier weights—for example, 15 to 20 pounds for my triceps—because he wanted to build me up a bit. I never counted reps, just pushed myself as far as I could possibly go. Each day, we’d focus on a different body part. I noticed a real change, too—my shoulders got a little broader, and I got more definition in my arms.”
In addition, she committed to Yoga. “Power Yoga revs me up and calms me down,” the actress said. “It’s an athletic yoga—you sweat—and it’s great for your entire body, because it lifts your butt and strengthens your core. I do it to hip-hop music. Then, at the end of each session, my instructor will put on spiritual music and I’ll just lie there for a couple minutes.”
Not only that. She also does biking. “To get in some cardio, I go biking a few times a week,” Moon said. “My routine: I pedal the Venice Beach Boardwalk to the Santa Monica Pier and back roughly five miles. I use music as a motivator—what I choose depends on my mood. It could be anything from Sade to hip-hop to Alison Krauss.”
Getting enough sleep is also one of the secrets why she is enjoying such a sexy and fit physique. According to her, “I’m staying in and trying to get a lot of sleep. I strive for a balance of reflecting on my past, looking to the future, and enjoying where I’m at.”

In terms of diet, well, Moon is a certified foodie. “Everybody who knows me knows I eat a lot,” she said. “I love food. I mean, I’m friends with all the craft-service people on set! I can’t live my life on a strict no-carb diet or eat a salad as a meal—it’s too difficult. For me, life is all about balance. I’m a big pasta person, but if I’m trying to trim down, I’ll go to Whole Foods and get a small chicken salad or a spicy tuna roll. I really believe portion control is more important than the foods I’m eating, so I have small meals every two hours. My trainer suggested I eat more protein, so for lunch, I might make fried rice with ground turkey or beef, and an egg and hot sauce on top. He also got me to start drinking one glass of two-percent milk a day—it’s supposed to help you sleep.”
